Leadership
development workshops
We run a variety of innovative leadership development workshops
focusing on different aspects of leadership training.
At
present, our workshops are based in Newcastle, north-east England. We
also offer them in other parts of the country, and have delivered them
in-house.
You will find links here to past and current
events.
Their outlines, plans, processes and participant's feedback convey a
sense of the approaches we have taken.
Our leadership training
workshops have been run within large public organizations, and for
mixed groups of leaders from a variety of organizations.
The links here will help you find out more.
This page explains the overall process we
are using for our 'jazz
Leadership workshop.
We
started in Newcastle in April. The first workshop was received very
enthusiastically by the participants. The theme for the first session
was: How Leaders affect Performance - for better or
worse. The
participants in this group decided to spend a significant part of the
workshop exoploring the beliefs that inform leadership. We attempted to
get to the heart of leadership performance - and found that led
naturally to a discussion of the impact of the leader's beliefs about
their role.
Want
to know how the participants shaped the process, the content of the
discussion - and how participants responded to the process? Here is a
summary of the April workshop, which focused on leadership beliefs.
Find the
booking form for our next jazzLEADERSHIP workshop
- to be held in Newcastle in June - is on the leadership
development workshop page. Or if you just want to stay in
touch - there's a form on the page for that, too.
This page, on leadership
and the jazz metaphor, develops those "leadership as jazz"
ideas a little further.
We
present a case study of this approach with sixteen senior leaders and
middle managers in a large UK public organization. The description of
the model, "The Leadership Inquiry" and its application to university
leadership development can be found here.
